Our design and online programming skills were successfully combined in our work for NECD, the world’s most comprehensive equestrian crime prevention service.
Not only are we responsible for the identity but we designed and developed the website too, combining back-end functionality with an easy-to-use interface.

What the client wanted
NECD (National Equine Crime Database) is a new venture devised by horse enthusiasts to register horses, saddles, tack as well as sharing crime reports throughout the equestrian community and crime prevention organisations.Being the first of its kind, establishing credibility with horse owners and the authorities was essential in encouraging paid-for registrations and securing participation.
That’s why we developed a solid, modern and dependable identity and applied the same visual impression of reliability and authority to the website with a state-of-the-art registration, payment and database system sitting behind.
Identity
An easily recognised equestrian motif presented with an innovative yet modern twist conveys the serious intent of the business.
Website
We were able to apply our programming know-how while continuing with the trust and credibility theme in the overall look and feel for NECD. The website included a complex membership registration process with payment facilitated through credit cards and paypal gateways. Additionally users were able to register all of their horses, saddles and tack with full descriptions, picture uploads and ID tagging. The NECD website was designed with in-built reporting and back end functionality, SMS text reporting and alerting - and even an iphone friendly version.
