Increasing sales directly with a website redesign

The sole objective of this website redesign was to increase sales - something that Jerram are very familiar with. Making a website that can really sell products and services is a challenge, especially where the solutions on offer are as flexible as IBM and HP midrange servers and storage hardware.

What The Client Wanted

Sales Director, Steve Hollingsworth's brief was uncompromising: "Give me a website that will double sales in 12 months". Steve was very involved in the website redesign process, and helped to create much of the page content. However, it was down to the team at Jerram to develop a site that could meet the full challenge:

  • Marketing, including a PPC review
  • Search optimisation, to drive organic traffic
  • Website re design, to attract new visitors and encourage sales
  • An easy to use eCommerce solution with powerful integration and reporting tools
  • Social media engagement
  • Lead generation engagement

Our approach

The Jerram team recognised that the broker business involves personal communication and engagement. We decided to profile the individual brokers, and we included Engage - our unique embedded web chat tool along with individual instant messenger reporting and capabilities. Every broker can be contacted directly through the website - while the sales team are able to Engage with every visitor.

The Jerram team also planned a complete marketing schedule for the Covenco website, including social marketing, PPC campaigns and Search Engine Optimisation.

The website was also given a robust and powerful eCommerce platform, based on the popular Magento solution.

Detailed reporting and analytics was backed up by an ongoing support contract to manage the process to develop additional content and maintain the sites up to the moment product and stock information.

Result

The new Covenco website has resulted in:

  • Increased leads
  • Increased opportunities to do business
  • Increased sales

Additionally, the site has delivered a platform for continuous PR and social marketing through blogged content, links from relevant social estates and news.

The sales team are working with Engage to actively target website visitors, tracking their movements through the site and learning exactly who and where the visitors are before contacting them directly to fulfil their needs.

By integrating an ecommerce solution, stock management, social media, Engage, CRM tools and e-Marketing tools the website has become a powerful business and sales platform for Covenco.

The Jerram are actively involved in the further development of the website on a weekly basis.
